My CrossFit Story:
Throughout high school and college I did typical globo-gym workouts and played a couple recreational sports. After college I became very bored with my workout plan (which had no nutritional component) and I wasn’t making any progress. On a summer trip, my friend said, “hey, let’s do a workout here at the beach house…”, I thought to myself there is no way I can workout without dumbbells and a bench. The workout was: 10 rounds of sit-ups, squats, and push-ups. By the 3rd round I couldn’t even do a single push-up. I continued CrossFit on my own for about a year but I did not see significant gains until I received formal coaching and cleaned up my diet. It sounds cliche but CrossFit has changed my life – from the friends I have made to the things I have learned about myself.
